A contemporary Algerian illustrator, painter, visual artist and engraver, Rachid Koräichi works on silk, creates tapestries, paints on parchment, works in clay and kaolin, and uses steel and stone. Drawing on the cultural background of his childhood, which was steeped in an important artistic and spiritual heritage, he has found his own style and his own "writing" to describe life in all its realities and beauties.
Attached to symbolism, he makes recurrent use of the number seven in his work, as well as blue, gold and a multitude of figures: moon, round, square, stars, etc.
